After being nursed all the way from Madison to Cape Town, the NIR air freight (including the collimator, camera & detector) got plonked on the back of a truck & driven up to SALT by the transport company. Not quite what we had in mind, but ok - here they are!

You're in Africa now, NIR air freight! |
 |
Happily, the crates all looked ok - with none of the tip-indicators triggered... |

All safely tucked in to the spectrometer room |
The team will read these poor frazzled crates a soothing story this evening & hope they sleep well in their safe new space. They won't be opened for a few more days, as there's still some messy stuff to be done in the spectrometer room.
